In response to the fatal police shooting at Club Kalua a law enforcement organization calls for a complete review of the NYPD’s Organized Crime Control Bureau procedures regarding the on duty consumption of alcohol

Press Briefing: 100 Blacks in Law Enforcement Who Care is calling for the immediate removal of NYPD Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly and the Chief of the Organized Crime Control Bureau Anthony Izzo, as well as a comprehensive external investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice. In addition to the removal of the Police Commissioner and the Chief of OCCB, there must be a review of the current procedures and policies that govern the NYPD’s Organized Crime Control Bureau. 100 Blacks in Law Enforcement Who Care is calling for the following:
1) Re-examination of on-duty alcohol consumption by OCCB officers
2) Mandatory post incident drug and alcohol testing of Police Officers involved in use of deadly physical force incidents
